Performance management system of the pharmaceutical sector in Bangladesh

Abstract
This study investigated how employee performance was managed in
Bangladesh's pharmaceutical sector companies. It also aimed to show employees' views
regarding their performance management systems. A questionnaire was used as the
tool to collect data. Number of respondents was 306. Descriptive
analysis was used to explain the data. The study concluded that formal
performance management systems prevailed in the companies surveyed. Most of the
organizations used annual confidential reports and rankings for performance
appraisals.
